Quilted leather feels the way a winter starry night looks;
A tweed jacket looks the way the hay of the English countryside warms your nostrils;
Coco Mademoiselle smells the way champagne tastes;
but a full Chanel fashion show? That is incomparable.
"If you have ever wondered what would happen if you combined Chanel, a fashion house known for its timeless elegance and impeccable style, and Texas you need not go much further than your Instagram account. It seems an unlikely match: a French fashion house hosting their Pre-Fall 2014 show in Dallas; but I have learnt over the years to never ever doubt Lagerfeld.
The fashion maison’s history with Dallas is a long one dating back to 1954, when Coco Chanel made her comeback. Chanel had been out of fashion since the 20s and the women of her country had rejected her work. But then along came Stanley Marcus, of Neiman Marcus, who presented Chanel with the store’s Award for Distinguished Service in the field of fashion. "
