Tory Burch, Tory Burch, what a brilliant woman, Tory Burch.
Until about five minutes ago, I was completely oblivious to Tory Burch. I was casually flicking through style.com and I come across this amazing American fashion designer's label. The Pre-Fall collection consists of a wondrous supply of monochromatic patterns with dropped-waist silhouettes, a perfect mix of androgynous and girly.
Her market?
"aspirational mid-career women and Bergdorf moms seeking affordable quality with the timelessness of good taste" says Vogue. However, her clothes seem to appeal to a much wider audience. Understated and yet so elegantly sexy, it is not hard to imagine younger women wishing they had a wardrobe full of Burch's designs.
In fact, 2013 has been a revolutionary year for Burch: in February she signed a licensing deal with Fossils to produce watches; in March she was officially added to Forbes' billionaires club after suing Bluebell Wholesale, Inc. for selling accessories with imitations of her TT monogram and this October Vogue featured her first fragrance and makeup lines.
Look out for Burch ladies. She's a winner.
